Inspired by the history and traditions of Valencia’s fishing culture, Netscapes proposes a flexible, modular intervention within the historic Antiguo Varadero at Valencia’s marina. By reinterpreting the fisherman’s net as an architectural element, the project introduces a tent-like shading structure suspended by light metal poles, creating fluid, shaded pathways and gathering spaces. The design includes the renovation of the existing exhibition building, the addition of a library and event hall, and a lightweight metal-frame platform above the historic ramp, using removable structures that preserve and highlight the heritage character of the site.
