The Shed is a nursery school designed to create a safe, interactive, and welcoming space for both children and the surrounding community. Inspired by Montessori principles, the project organizes classrooms around a shared central passage, a light wooden structure that connects all areas and invites movement and exploration.
The design features flexible classroom zones, playful outdoor spaces around existing trees, and a public library that stays open after hours. The roof extends over key spaces to create shelter and define entrances, while the use of polycarbonate and concrete at child eye-level ensures both privacy and visual connection to the outside.

Inspired by Le Petit Prince and the idea that children interpret the world differently than adults, the classroom design embraces playful perception and layered functionality. The furniture is designed to be engaging and imaginative for children, such as box-like elements that can be used as stages or play surfaces, while also serving practical adult needs, like integrated storage for toys and educational materials.
